Clear answers without detours

The main questions about eligibility, documents, timing and extraordinary circumstances.

When may flight compensation be due?

A claim may arise in particular after an arrival delay of at least three hours, a cancellation notified shortly before departure or involuntary denied boarding. Route, operating carrier and cause must always be assessed.

Which documents should I provide?

Useful documents include the booking confirmation, boarding pass, flight number, scheduled and actual times, airline messages, departure board photos and receipts for necessary additional expenses.

How long does a flight claim take?

Timing depends on the evidence, the airline response, applicable law and any court proceedings. Flymoney shows the handling steps in the dossier but does not promise an artificial standard deadline.

What are extraordinary circumstances?

These may include events outside the carrier’s normal activity that could not have been avoided despite reasonable measures. Weather, air traffic control, strikes and technical problems require a case specific assessment; the airline’s label alone is not enough.
